Even though we recently released an update to the Visual Studio Tools for Apache Cordova, we are already busy working on the next series of improvements to help you more easily build Android, iOS, and Windows apps. For an upcoming release, one of the areas we are looking to improve is the overall experience around installing the tools and using them for the first time to build a new Cordova project. That’s where you come in! We’d like to hear from you!
This survey takes only a few minutes to complete, and (besides helping us out a lot!) this survey also gives you the opportunity to opt-in for future user studies or 1-on-1 conversations with us around improving the developer experience.
Cheers,
Kirupa

The tooling is interesting. But it's very slow to work with and the deployment to real devices is quite challenging (iPhone 6+). The debug experience is sub par.
The performance is an area we are actively working on, but can you elaborate a bit more on what you would like to see as part of the debug experience? You can e-mail me directly at kirupac[at]microsoft.com if that would be more convenient 🙂
I am not happy with the project structure. It would have been much better had it shared the same structure as we get after creating a phonegap project using CLI. That way it would have been much easy to use PhoneGap build or building projects using CLI. My current workflow is creating a phonegap project using CLI, and then importing the project as a website in Visual Studio for code editing. But then I cannot debug javascript using Visual Studio.. So what I would like the VS to share the same project structure as Phonegap CLI… I would be much better for importing existing PG projects into VS.
I like it, especially since its MS first stab at this. I never used phonegap so I cannot speak on that but what can be better using the best IDE to build cross platform apps? Just more stability which I am sure is coming and more demo/templates would help starters like me!!!
Does the new update provide support for debugging on Windows Phone? How about support for push notifications on all platforms?
