How do you enable the following support for the automated build on TFS 2008?

Ability to run GUI tests as part of a build.  This fails with a hang on each test that needs to display a GUI just like it did in 2005.  Did this feature get pulled or is there something that I need to do to enable this support?

Brandon, it’s there but you have to run tfsbuildservice from a command line in order for it to have a desktop.  That will be listening on 9192, so you’ll just need to create an agent and specify 9192 as the port.  See for details and pointers.

    Thanks Buck,  that worked great!

Can we automate builds involving load testing embedded tool in Visual Studio? if yes, does it support Ajax pages?

  5. buckh says:

Here’s what I got back from one of the developers on the team.

You can run a load test using mstest, so I assume that means it can be included in a test run for a build.

Also, yes, with VSTS 2008, the Web test recorder was enhanced to record Ajax requests, so VSTS 2008 load tests containing Web tests recorded with VSTS 2008 work.
