Chris Jackson on .NET Rocks!

A couple of weeks ago, I had a chance to get on the phone and chat for a bit with Carl and Richard from .NET Rocks! about app compat from a developer perspective, looking forward to Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 10. Of course, the highlight for me was, during some juggling of terms where we couldn’t call the new app platform Met… I mean Windows Store Apps, and I just gave up and decided to call them “Wayne.”

I wonder if that will catch on?

Everyone in my IT department has been calling it "UI-Formerly-Known-As-Metro"

    or simply

    UFKAM 🙂

Well, that's an anagram of two potentially awesome names. One you could get away with – "UI Known Formerly as Metro" would be UKFAM, which rolls off the tongue. The other would require to you use "Former UI…" and that just doesn't make sense regardless of acronym…
