We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 01/09, 07:15 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 01/09, 07:05 UTC and that during the 10 minutes that it took to resolve the issue 10% of customers experienced data access issues while accessing through azure portal.
Root Cause: The failure was due to an issue in one of our dependent platform services.
