Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types – 01/05 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 01/05, 10:40 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 01/05, 09:55 UTC and that during the 45 minutes that it took to resolve the issue 11% of customers experienced data access issues while accessing through azure portal.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to an issue in one of our dependent platform services.
