Experiencing Data Gaps for Live Metrics – 11/02 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 11/02, 18:10 PM UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 11/02, 17:00 UTC and that during the 1 hour that it took to resolve the issue, some of our customers would have experienced gaps in their Live Metrics Stream in Application Insights.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to a couple of our back end systems falling into a bad state. Mitigating this resolved the issue for our end users.

We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
