Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure Portal for Metric Data Type – 04/27 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 04/27, 08:15 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 04/27, 07:45 UTC and that during the half an hour that it took to resolve the issue very small percentage of customers experienced data access issues for metric type.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to recent deployment in one of our Application Insight Pipeline. We have rolled back the deployment to mitigate the issue.
  • Lessons Learned: We will be working on detailed RCA of this incident to avoid re-occurrence of such issues in future.
