Experiencing Data Latency for Many Data Types – 04/01 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of  21:00 UTC. Our logs show the incident started at 16:00 UTC and  it took 5 hours resolve the issue. 
  • Root Cause:  Increase in data volume due to monthly quota reset overloaded our processing services.

We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

Root cause has been isolated to Increase in processing data volume caused by monthly quota changes.  This impacted our processing services causing data gaps for the some customers. To address this issue we have scaled up our impacted services to take additional load. Some customers may experience data gaps untill all the backlog data are processed.
