The fixes to resolve the monitoring issues has now been put in place. The latency banner is now switched off. At this point, we call the monitoring issue resolved. We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize again for the inconvenience that this issue caused.

A monitoring problem in our monitoring systems has currently switched on the latency banner for App Insight customers in the Azure portal. This post is to inform our customers that this is just monitoring noise and is not currently reflective of any real latency in App Insights pipeline. We are currently in the process of resolving this monitoring issue and apologize for the inconvenience.
