We’ve identified and mitigated a bug which caused redundant quota notifications to be sent to some customers starting 2/15/2016, 19:20 UTC. All quota related notifications have been disabled as of 2/26/2016 02:15 UTC. Customers can still view quota status by visiting the Azure portal and opening the Settings -> Quota + Pricing blade. Notifications for ending Premium Trials, availability and metric based alerting are not impacted.
- Root Cause: The failure was due to a bug in the code which manages quota notifications.

We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
We are aware of issues with repeating quota notifications being sent to some Application Insights customers and are actively investigating. These emails can be safely ignored.
