Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure Portal for Availability Data Type – 11/06 (second occurrence) – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 11/6, 14:25 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 11/6, 12:00 UTC and that during the impact window customers may have experienced failures while logging into Azure Portal. It may have prevented them to access their data. Alerting functionality was not affected so customers continued to receive service related alerts as expected.

  • Root Cause: A bug was identified which was causing instability in the login process. It has been fixed and rolled out to all regions. There is a high confidence that this issue will not occur again.

We are aware of issues within Application Insights and are actively investigating. Some customers may experience Data Access Issue in Azure Portal due to login failures to Azure Portal.  Customers will continue to receive service alerts as expected. We are working on fixing the issue as fast as we can.
