Experiencing Data Gaps for Availability Data Type – 11/04 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 11/4/2015 22:21 UTC. Our logs show the incident lasted for nearly 12 minutes and during the impact window some customers may experienced availability data loss.

        Root Cause: The root cause is not completely understood however it appears to be a transient network failure.

This is retrospective communication to make Application Insights users aware of the issue where availability data for a period of 12 minutes was dropped. The impacted time windows is 11/4/2015 22:09 UTC to 11/4/2015 22:21 UTC.
Application Insights team is working on determining the root cause for this. We will post back once the root cause is better understood.
