We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 10/18, 09:04 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 10/18, 08:
45 UTC and that during the 19 minutes that it took to resolve the issue small percentage of customers experienced data latency for availability data type.

  • Root Cause: The failure was due to communication with backend component within Application Insight processing service which was not responding gracefully.
  • Lessons Learned: We are continually working on improvements to mitigation and resolution strategies and technology.
