Experiencing Data Latency for Many Data Types – 10/6 – Resolved

We’ve confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 10/6, 03:15 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 10/6, 00:00 UTC and that during the ~3 hours that it took to resolve the issue less than 5% of customers experienced. We confirmed that there was no data loss ; impact was limited to partial data latency for a subset of customer apps.

Root Cause: The failure was due to maintenance activity done in production to improve our system.

A subset of customers (~ 5 %) may experience data latency issue with some portion of their app data.The following data types are affected: Availability, Customer Event, Dependency, Exception, Metric, Page Load, Page View, Performance Counter, Request, Trace.
