Experiencing Data Latency for Metric Data Type – 8/2 – Resolved

We’ve confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 8/2, 11:56 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 8/2, 10:30 UTC and that during the 1.5 hours that it took to resolve the issue, a very small % of customers experienced data latency for their custom metrics data type.

Root Cause: The failure was due to misconfiguration of one of the back end services.

We are aware of issues within Application Insights and are actively investigating. Some customers may experience Data Latency. The following data types are affected: Metric. Only a very small subset of customer is affected and only data, related to a new custom metrics, which were created in the last 3 hours is latent.
