WebMatrix – It’s Easier to Create Web Applications Than Ever Before

Scott Guthrie has just announced the availability of WebMatrix on his blog. WebMatrix is a free tool and the beta release is available for download here (15 – 50 MB depending whether you have .NET 4.0 installed). The new lightweight web development tool makes it even easier for people to get started with web development using ASP.NET.  It provides core coding and database support, integrates with an open source web application gallery, and includes support to easily publish/deploy sites and applications to web hosting providers.
