Trying Xobni, Again…

I tried it a while back and didn't like the performance so thought I would give it another go.  If you haven't heard of it yet, here is a blurb from the site:

===

Xobni is the Outlook plug-in that saves you time finding email conversations, contacts and attachments.

After a quick install, you'll see the new Xobni toolbar appear in Outlook - and suddenly information will become much easier to find. When a new email arrives, the sender's full communication history appears in the Xobni sidebar, including past conversations, attachments and contact details. Xobni also includes a blazing fast email search tool.

So far it seems way better than before in terms of speed which was really the only problem I had with it.  Let me know your experiences...

    Hey, thanks a lot for giving Xobni another try.  I’ll tell you, it has been a tough battle fighting Outlook, but we simply think solving the problem of email overload is so damn important that we are determined to get it right.  We are getting there with respect to performance, but we won’t quit until everyone can comfortably use Xobni with their Outlook email.

    Awesome screen shot collage in your blog post btw.

    Matt,

    Things look good so far for the product, can you explain the "fighting outlook" comment?  I think it would be interesting to know some of the challenges you have faced particularly as many of my readers also like to do Outlook Add-Ins and could benefit from your learnings.

    I completely agree with you.  Xobni was a complete hog of resources.  It turned me off bad.

    So how much have they sped it up?

    I really like it now.  No issues so far at all.  I’ll have a chance to really put it though its paces in two weeks when I am on the road again.

    I love Xobni – it makes my email so much easier to parse through when finding things.

    I just noticed, however, that the LinkedIn connection doesn’t refresh when I connect with someone new.  I received an email from a person who was in my network – Xobni shows 3rd level LinkedIn.  We then connect changing the level to 1st in LinkedIn.

    Anyone know how to refresh the Xobni record to show 1st?

    Thanks
