I noticed that the December DevCares is also doing this but it says "Every person that installs Visual Studio 2008 on their computer at the event will receive a FREE fully licensed copy of Visual Studio 2008 Professional in the mail shortly after public release."

Will we be required to bring a computer? I don’t have a laptop and I’m not bringing my desktop.

    Thanks

Originally that was the plan but they changed it.  Now, if you just show up you get VS2008.  I just checked the numbers for South Central (Dallas, Houston, and Tulsa) and the only city not fully booked is Houston at this point.

Thanks for the info. Looking forward to this.

I too noticed Houston was the only one not full (do they not have developers in Houston or do they have lots of room?).

I’m in Dallas and may just pop in to the Users Group on a walk-in basis (it’s on my way home) and hope for lots of no-shows.

I’ll be at the DevCares event in Dallas (as usual).

    🙂
