On that day, you can start submitting your XNA Game Studio 4.0 games for Xbox 360 to the Peer Review process on App Hub (https://create.msdn.com). Starting that day, you will have a limited window of 90 days to continue to submit games made in XNA Game Studio 3.1. We will be posting reminders as we get closer to the 90-day deadline. Read on for the key dates and specifics about how this change may affect you and your Xbox LIVE Indie Games.

  • The last day to submit XNA Game Studio 3.1 Games: Thursday, February 3rd, 2011 at 11:59 PM PST

If you have a XNA Game Studio 3.0 or 3.1 game currently on Xbox LIVE Indie Games, it will continue to work. This release does not affect the ability to purchase or play any game currently on Xbox LIVE Indie Games.

If you are developing a game for Xbox LIVE Indie Games using XNA Game Studio 4.0, you can submit your game to the Peer Review process on App Hub starting this Friday, November 5th as soon as the launch of XNA Game Studio Connect 4.0 has been confirmed. Watch for the latest news on App Hub (https://create.msdn.com); we will announce when the pipeline is open.

If you are developing a game for Xbox LIVE Indie Games using XNA Game Studio 3.1, you will have 90 days from this Friday, November 5th, to submit the game to the Peer Review process on App Hub as an XNA Game Studio 3.1 game. The last day to submit will be Thursday, February 3rd, 2011. If you upgrade your game to use XNA Game Studio 4.0, this deadline does not apply. You will still be able to deploy and debug your game in XNA Game Studio Connect 4.0, even if your game is using XNA Game Studio 3.1.

If you are developing a game for Xbox 360 using XNA Game Studio 2.0 or 3.0, you will be unable to debug or deploy to XNA Game Studio Connect starting this Friday. We encourage you to upgrade your project to XNA Game Studio 4.0 if you wish to continue work on it using XNA Game Studio Connect.

If you are developing a game for Windows using XNA Game Studio 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, or 4.0, you can continue as normal – this update does not affect Windows development using any version of XNA Game Studio.
