It’s December 21, just a few days until the start of the new year and we’re celebrating here at Xbox by giving Xbox LIVE Gold Members deep discounts on great games, game add-ons, avatar items, and more, and by offering you a chance to win big prizes in our Countdown to 2011 Sweepstakes!
Starting Tuesday, December 21, there will be deep discounts on all sorts of Marketplace downloads. For instance, today Red Dead Redemption game add-ons are discounted up to 50%, and you can also get a free pair of 2011 avatar glasses. Tomorrow (December 22), the Xbox LIVE Arcade hit Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be discounted along with a Zune movie and a pet monkey avatar accessory. Every day, the discounted items will be different, and this lasts all the way to December 31. Check the Countdown discounts every day!
Along with all the discounts comes the Countdown to 2011 Sweepstakes. You don’t even have to register; all you have to do is download certain Marketplace items or play multiplayer sessions of certain games to be entered into the sweepstakes. Two grand prizes will be awarded, meaning you could win a 50-inch 3D HDTV, an Xbox 360 4GB console with Kinect and more.
