Daylight Saving Time and the Windows SDK

As many of you are already aware, Daylight Saving Time (DST) will be beginning earlier and ending later this year; as a result of the U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005.  The following are several resources to help you navigate your way thru the new DST rules to understand the potential impact it may have on your systems and applications:

·         KB 932955: How to handle dates and times that include DST – A MUST read for developers.  It describes the nuts and bolts of handling DST time calculations and the impact of the new DST rules on various products and platforms including, Windows, the .NET Framework, different versions of Visual Studio, the Windows SDK for Vista, the .NET Framework 2.0 SDK, and the Platform SDK for Windows Server 2003 R2.  It also contains several coding recommendations and links to some updates that may be applicable for your development.
