Windows Vista September CTP & new team member

My name is Pat Litherland, I’m a new addition to the Program Management team in the Windows SDK group, I recently come from the Microsoft Dynamics AX team.  I am joining the SDK to help drive Windows SDK features and experiences in the upcoming “Orcas” release (Visual Studio 2007).  In the coming months you will be hearing from me on the Orcas topic and how to better integrate the Windows SDK experience into Orcas.

Windows Vista released their September CTP today to beta members. In order to ensure that customers get the best possible development experience possible, we will be shipping the matching Windows SDK next week – currently scheduled for September 29. (We’ll update our blog when we go live or if that date changes). In terms of matching bits (Windows Vista, .NET 3.0, Windows SDK, etc.) and compatibility issues, fellow Windows SDK Program Manager, Tom Archer, will be updating his popular blog entry, Windows Vista, .NET 3.0 and Windows SDK Compatibility Matrix.
