If we update QFE 10 DP WLK- HOT- ADD CPU – DEVICE TEST -Verify Driver support for HOT – ADD  CPU is falling for Winnows server 2012 R2, But it is passing if we use QFE 09.

Is there any issue with QFE 10?

  2. Mark Hughes says:

    HI Raj,

The CSS team created an auto triage filter for this issue.  See below for detail:

HCK AutoTriage ID 5034 – AutoTriage: DevFund: DP WLK – Hot-Add Device test fails to install simulation due to failed copy

    CSS Instructions

    1. Verify this AutoTriage filter applies to the test result (confirms QFE version and log details)

    2. Create a DTM Workspace and upload attached pnpcpu_QFE009.zip

    3. Instruct the customer to extract the files and replace files on HCK Controller at this location:

    C:Program Files (x86)Windows Kits8.1Hardware Certification KitTestsamd64NTTESTBASETESTpnppnpcpu

    Issue Description:

The WLK – Hot-Add Device test may fail the Install Simulation task after HCK QFE010 is installed. The PnpCpu.wtl log will show the error "PreInstallDriver – Could not copy over the required files for the driver." This is caused by a corrupt signature file that prevents the test driver from being installed on the system under test.

    Issue Resolution:

If you are encountering this issue, please open a support case with Microsoft HCK Support. The support engineer will provide the driver files from QFE009, and the case will not be charged. The case may be charged if you are encountering a different issue with HCK or the Hot-Add test.

We have run few HCK cycles in QFE10, now can we run the HCK cycles in QFE009 and merge them together, for creating a single package.
