August 2012 Security Updates are Live on ECE for XPe and Standard 2009


The August 2012 Security Updates now available on the ECE for Microsoft® Windows® XP Embedded with Service Pack 3 and Windows® Embedded Standard 2009.

The list below applies to both XPE SP3 and Standard 2009:

  • KB2698365 – Vulnerability in Microsoft Data Access Components Could Allow Remote Code Execution
  • KB2691442 – Vulnerability in Windows Shell Could Allow Remote Code Execution
  • KB2655992 – Vulnerability in TLS Could Allow Information Disclosure
  • KB2705219 – Vulnerabilities in Windows Networking Components Could Allow Remote Code Execution
  • KB2712808 – Vulnerabilities in Windows Networking Components Could Allow Remote Code Execution
  • KB2723135 – Vulnerability in Remote Desktop Could Allow Remote Code Execution
  • KB2731847 – Vulnerabilities in Windows Kernel-Mode Drivers Could Allow Elevation of Privilege
  • KB2722913 – Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer
  • KB2732052 – August 2012 DST Cumulative Update

These updates can be applied to the embedded component database. The database updates incorporate all security updates from prior months for the current year; therefore you do not need to install previous security database updates.
