Win2D 1.18.0 – bugfixes and SpriteBatch docs

Win2D version 1.18.0 is now available on NuGet (for Windows 10 or Windows / Phone 8.1) and GitHub.

This release fixes a reentrancy bug in CanvasAnimatedControl.

It also improves the SpriteBatch.Draw docs, explaining how to convert Windows.UI.Color values into a Vector4 tint parameter. Many thanks to Andy De George for contributing this!

it was a long time without a blog post and i started to worry.
Please can you ensure us that Win2D is here to stay and it is safe for us to invest time and effort developing with it?

Can Win2D provide some basic 2D drawing functions for Windows 7, it will be really helpful. Thanks.

I have also spend much time in a Win2D Project and
I hope that a Win2D compatible Wrapper around OpenGL(Es) will be implemented in future for Android/Xamarin.

Developing with Win2D for UPW is great! *But*… I cannot ignore the Android platform, since most customers are there!

Microsoft would have a very strong argument for developing UPW apps (and games), if Xamarin would get a wrapper for Win2D!
Today, Wind2D is very nice, but unfortunately: not for making money with it(!) (like the whole UWP platform)
Microsoft: Please implement this wrapper! It would be your and our benefit! And It would be a strong argument for UWP!
