Win2D 1.7.0 – custom image effects improvements, system font properties

Win2D version 1.7.0 is now available on NuGet (for Windows 10 or Windows / Phone 8.1) and GitHub.

New in this release:

The new text types can be used to query various properties of fonts. The 'glue' to link them to text layouts will be upcoming, so stay tuned.

PixelShaderEffects now support non 1:1 texture co-ordinate mappings, demonstrated by the new sketch toggler in the custom effects demo. Very cool!

    Sweet.  The shader support check sounds convenient, but being able to reference other pixels in a shader now is the monster here even though it didn't get its own bulletpoint for some reason. 😛

    Question: Are half and fixed precision floats fully supported?  I see them listed in the HLSL ref, but I still vaguely recall hearing about them being deprecated or ignored in some cases with HLSL (could be mis-remembering).  For mobile, those types can be especially useful.
