Introducing the Visual Studio ALM Rangers – Michael Pedersen

This post is part of an ongoing series of Rangers introductions. See Ranger Index (Who is Who?) for more details.

Who you are?Me2

I am an Application Development Manager for Microsoft Service in Denmark. I have been advocating, teaching and using the whole ALM platform for many years both for work and private projects.

What makes you “tick”?

I just love solving problems and teaching other people how the can use stuff and improve their skills. Because of that I get myself involved in so many different things and get to talk to a lot of interesting people.

Where you live?

I live in Aalborg in Denmark with my wife and dog. I work in all of Denmark (it is not that big a country J).

Why are you active in the Rangers program?

I have been working with Microsoft technologies in various roles for the last 12 years and not matter where I go, or what I have been doing, I always end up focusing on ALM. You can have best of people and technologies, but if your ALM is not working properly you are in for a world of trouble at some point. ALM Rangers have produced some great IP for real world use. I would like to be part of creating that IP.

What is the best Rangers project you worked in (or with) and why?

Have not worked in any yet, but I especially loved working with the Rangers’ guidance on upgrade and branching.
