This post is part of an ongoing series of Rangers introductions. See An index to all Rangers covered on this blog for more details.
Who you are?
Taavi Koosaar, software architect, software developer, process and tooling dude, consultant. I was born in Estonia, finished my degrees in computer science in Estonia, and thereafter moved to live and work in Sweden. Right now I work in product development in a small company in Sweden. I like traveling, adventures, training, diving, tennis and the latest adventure I am embarking on is becoming a father.
What makes you “tick”?
There’s a bunch of things that make me tick and among them software development, technology, challenges in life and work, leadership and initiative, sci-fi/fantasy books, films, series, my family. Technology, software development and infrastructure have been a passion and hobby since I was young and I’m one of the lucky who can say that my work is also my hobby.
Where do you live?
I live in Stockholm, Sweden in the cities IT suburb.
Where is the place you call home?
Where ever I live and my family is. I adapt quite fast. However Estonia will always have a special place in my heart 😉
Why are you active in the Rangers program?
To contribute back to the community, share what I have learned over the years, get new knowledge/experience through projects and meet interesting people.
What is the best Rangers project you worked in and why?
I’ve been in a few projects. I really enjoyed the Integration Platform project and now I’m in the Merging and Branching Guidance team and I’m enjoying that as well. It’s challenging and I get to share and discuss topics that I find interesting.
