Introducing the Visual Studio ALM Rangers – William Salazar

This post is part of an ongoing series of Rangers introductions. See An index to all Rangers covered on this blog for more details.

Who you are?

William H. Salazar, Director, ALM Practice – Neudesic

What makes you “tick”?

I have a passion for ALM and firmly believe it revolutionizes the traditional approach to software development.   More ALM means =  better quality software= more successful projects = reduced IT costs = Happy Customers!William

Where do you live?

I live in Orange County, CA which is located an hour south of Los Angeles.

Where is the place you call home?

I grew up on the East Coast in New Jersey but moved to Southern California in 1986. I consider SoCal my home – it’s where my family is and I love the sunny weather.

Why are you active in the Rangers program?

The ALM Rangers team is a terrific program to promote the best use of the Microsoft’s development platform. I am a big evangelist of the Microsoft development tools in particular the ALM tools. The Rangers fill technical gaps, influence the product, and create a “ripple effect” of ALM evangelists in not only Microsoft, but our customers as well.

What is the best Rangers project you worked in and why?

I have been a review on several Ranger projects in my previous role as a Developer TS with Microsoft DPE. The most rewarding has been the TFS4Word Plug-In. I hope to get more deeply involved know that I am in the trenches actually working with TFS deployments versus evangelism
