On Friday last week we had the pleasure of jumping on a bus and being driven to the Richmond Fruit Tree Sharing Farm. After a quick tour, we were able to spend a full day pulling weeds, pruning herb gardens, distributing the “smelly stuff” on Garlic patches, and fighting the probable futile battle against the Black Berries in the fields. Apart from the scars from the Black Berry bushes that fought back, we had a wonderful day as a team.

I am also happy to report that all the hard work we have invested in previous visits is still noticeable :)

Thank you Microsoft, for allowing us to dedicate several days per year to the community, not only contributing to the local communities, but also being able to reflect on ourselves and the world around us, while completely disconnected from the digital information technology grid.
