Introducing the Visual Studio ALM Rangers – Lukasz Gratkowski

This post is part of an ongoing series of Rangers introductions. See An index to all Rangers covered on this blog for more details.

Who you are?

Łukasz Gratkowski – Consultant at Microsoft Consulting Services in Poland. In my day-to-day work I help customers build and deploy enterprise-scale solutions based on Microsoft Application Platform but my focus is set on Application Lifecycle Management since I started studying software engineering. I often work both with the customers and teams inside Microsoft to help them improve their software development process.

What makes you “tick”?

Software development. I like everything about it. As a developer you have a chance to unleash your creativity every day – and I love this feeling! We have the best development tools in Microsoft and it’s extremely rewarding to work with the customers and help them increase their efficiency and improve collaboration using these tools. It makes me proud when they say “It’s amazing!” ;)

Where is the place you call home?

I live in Warsaw, Poland since I joined Microsoft. I was born in a small city Stargard Szczecinski and lived there for over 25 years.

Where is the place you call home?

Wherever my family is. Currently it’s Warsaw.

Why are you active in the Rangers program?

It’s great to be part of the community that shares the passion for our development tools. Rangers deliver THE best practices in use of Microsoft ALM platform and it’s really exciting to contribute to that community and then share the guidance with our customers.

What is the best Rangers project you worked in and why?

I haven’t worked in many projects so far, but I had an opportunity to work with other Rangers and customize TFS Integration Platform for one of our key customers. It helped them remove a critical blocker in a ClearQuest migration scenario.
