Who are You

Hi! I’m Mark Brown, a Senior Consultant with Microsoft Consulting Services for 6 years plus.  I am one of the first four ALM Rangers and have been with the ALM Rangers since the beginning. In the industry for over 20 years, I have seen and experienced a lot of changes.  I also have three kids which allows me to experience the analog of life and balance my digital life

What Makes you tick

The ever changing industry and the satisfaction of helping individuals and huge enterprises with digital solutions provides me great joy and makes me tick.

Where do you live

Phoenix Arizona USA

Where do you call home

Phoenix Arizona has been my home for over a decade and I know call it home.  However, living in Santa Clara California, Atlanta Georgia, and West Virginia; those cities have my heart as well.

Why are you active in the Rangers Program

I really like making developers, software managers, testers, build teams, and others life easier and fill those gaps to make it a really impressive development experience.

What is the best Rangers project you worked in and Why

My involvement in the Visual Studio 2010 Quick Guidance (Database parts) was great and I really enjoy knowing that I can help in a small way to get going quicker or have awareness of features without having to dig through help files or tutorials.  My honorable mention is my first project which involved writing the first “export” of data and “import” of data into TFS 2005 called the TFS Shallow Copy project which was the genesis of the future great work of full two-way integration with other tools.
