We have just closed a support thread where a user was only seeing the TFS 2010 adapters in the drop down lists of the TFS Integration administration tool. Where are the TFS 2008 adapters … they are on the system, but cannot be selected and configured?

It all depends on which version of Visual Studio Team Explorer is installed on the system running the TFS Integration Tools.

  • If you have installed Visual Studio Team Explorer 2010, you will be presented with the TFS 2010 adapters.
  • If you have installed Visual Studio Team Explorer 2008, you will be presented with the TFS 2008 adapters.
  • If you have installed both Visual Studio Team Explorer 2008 and 2010, you will be presented with both the TFS 2008 and 2010 adapters.
