Back in the trenches … a few pictures from the Yukon “paradise”

In Going AWOL and heading North … see you on December 27th we said goodbye and were looking forward to our vacation. Well, we are now looking back at a phenomenal vacation we did in memory of our late son Alexander and here are a few pictures that show a fraction of the beauty of the region and our great excursions …

If you ever visit this region, in particular Whitehorse, then the following operators come highly recommended for their friendly and very professional service:

We enjoyed the nature, long walks in unspoilt nature, snow, snow and more snow, –38 degrees Celsius … which for South-Africans can be a bit nippy, and had a phenomenal dog mushing day.

Unfortunately we did not spot the Northern lights due to bad weather conditions … an excuse to return to this paradise 🙂 Here is a picture by Stefan Wackerhagen of the view we missed (this time):
