Introducing the Visual Studio ALM Rangers – Boris Wehrle

This post is part of an ongoing series of Rangers introductions. See An index to all Rangers covered on this blog for more details.

Who you are?

My name is Boris Wehrle. I am a member of the TeamSystemPro Team, the leading Visual Studio ALM consulting team in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

What makes you “tick”?

I presented the Team Foundation Server to several teams in the last years. The reactions of people seeing the Team Foundation for the first time are nearly always the same: Yeah! This is the system we ever dreamed of! And this makes me happy because as an everyday user of the system I can say it is the truth! The Team Foundation Server is for real a system which could improve the efficiency and effectiveness of teams building the applications of tomorrow.

Where you live?

To be a consultant means travelling a lot. Sometimes I sleep more hours a week in a train or in an airplane than in my own bed. So the roads, the railways and the hotels in Germany, Switzerland and Austria are where I live.

Where is the place you call home?

There are two souls dwelling in my ***. One is calling Stuttgart its home. The other one still lives in my home region “Silicon Saxony”.

But at last my home is where my ThinkPad is.

Why are you active in the Rangers program?

I am a happy user of the Team Foundation Server since its early days. It is an honor for me to support teams to become as productive as our team has become through the power of the Team Foundation Server.

What is the best Rangers project you worked in and why?

I took part in the Architecture Guidance project. This project brings the power of the Visual Studio Architecture features to live. As an architect of highly distribute applications I know how these features makes my live easier. It makes me happy to share my experiences with other teams in the world.
