The information and a basic-steps-checklist that you need to develop a new custom adapter for the TFS Integration Platform is contained primarily in the TFS Integration Platform – Architecture Overview document. The TFS Integration Platform – Custom POC document is another guide, which steps you through the environmental setup and the development of a rudimentary adapter.
More recently, however, Robert MacLean, who developed the SharePoint sample adapters during his sabbatical, is blogging about his experience and so far three great posts have caught my attention:
- How to create an adapter for the TFS Integration Platform – Part I: Introduction
- How to create an adapter for the TFS Integration Platform – Part II: Setup of the environment
- How to create an adapter for the TFS Integration Platform – Part III: Overview of adapters
- … ?
If you are interested in custom adapter development, Robert’s blog series will be a great guide.
