This post is not technology, studies or work related … but, in the time where the Olympics are raging in Vancouver it is worth mentioning two success stories on the soccer field. Yesterday was the Delta Cup final and both the teams Thunderbird and Shamrocks made it to the final. Both teams walked away with medals and as parents we are both proud of our boys and happy that a long soccer season is coming to an end.
Thunderbirds … U11 Group … made second place and walked away with silver after an exciting final game that they unfortunately lost 1:3 against the Zombies. In the second picture on the right, Thorsten (third from the left) is standing in front of the proud Thunderbird team coach.
Shamrocks … U14 Group … made first place and walked awat with gold after a spectacular 2:0 win over the Tsawwassen. In the second picture on the right, Jacques received his gold medal from the proud coach Gordon, standing next to coach Clive.
Today everyone is recovering from the games, the celebrations and looking forward to the trials in March and the next season of soccer
