  1. Arun Sabat says:

WCF Server side in .Net core has become essential for the IPC communication. The IPC communication framework support using NetTCP or NetNamedPipe protocol was robust in .Net WCF. Having the same framework in .Net Core will improve our productive, help use build application targeting cross platform. Else we have to go for other alternate framework, e.g REST with RabbitMQ for the IPC framework support. But for supporting REST api’s we need to have WebServer. This might not be Ideal for all the solutions. Hence having WCF Framework in .Net core has become highly essential.

    1. Thanks for the feedback Arun, did you went to the survey on the referred link and provide these valuable inputs?
Just remembered the survey is here.

  2. David says:

WCF server side components are needed asap on .net core. We self host our services so we don’t need to install and configure a web server.
WCF is one of the simplest and easiest to use implementation for publishing a service. Right now .net core has a patchwork of added software.
We don’t want to publish using asp.net core on a Web API because of the tie in to asp.net and things we don’t need. Please implement this for us
or open source server side components so we can volunteer.
