Meet Silverlight Authors and Anders Hejlsberg at PDC

There's going to be some great stuff going on in the bookstore @ PDC -- including some book launchings, book signings and more.

In addition to me being there on Monday signing 'Introducing Silverlight 2', we'll all have the privelige of being able to meet Anders Hejlsberg who will be signing copies of the C# programming language -- though you'd better get there early -- he'll only be around for 1/2 an hour, and we're expecting a lot of people to show up.

There's also going to be some book launches:

Laurent Bugnion will be launching Silverlight 2 Unleashed at 11:15 on Monday October 27th. Pop over to the store after the Monday keynote to see this book. I haven't seen it yet, but if it is half as good as it's predecessor, you're in for a treat! My 'Introducing Silverlight 1.0' and 'Silverlight 1.0 Unleashed' complemented each other really well -- and I'm sure that will be the case this time too!

Shortly afterwards, Sara Ford will be launching her new book Microsoft Visual Studio Tips . This looks to be a real treat for developers -- there's so much about Visual Studio that I find myself learning every day. In this book Sara will step us through hundreds of proven tweaks to the IDE and help maximize our productivity. Should be a fun read...

On Tuesday Brad Abrams and Krzysztof Cwalina will be on hand with copies of the 2nd Edition of their Framework Design Guidelines. Without giving too much away, Brad has been involved in the creation of a cool new framework that we'll be hearing more about at PDC. So this book is fresh from the horse's mouth of experience. It should be a corker! :)
