Alliteration actually amazes me. 🙂
Anyway, there's a great sweet spot between Silverlight and Sharepoint. Sharepoint is a great technology that allows you to quickly put together authenticatatble sites with tonnes of content without needing tonnes of programming. I've been using a bunch of sharepoints inside of MS Corp to run some of the various programs I've been tasked with managing.
Anyway, if you are a Sharepoint dev, and want a quickstart on how to use it with Silverlight, there's a great tutorial from Kirk Evans here: http://blogs.msdn.com/kaevans/archive/2008/10/08/hosting-silverlight-in-a-sharepoint-webpart.aspx
Beyond the tutorial, there's a very nice-looking upcoming book from Steve Fox and Paul Stubbs: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0470434007?ie=UTF8&tag=lamoswenebl-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=1789&creativeASIN=0470434007 (Disclaimer, I'm the Tech Reviewer)
