We continue to investigate issues with the database. SQL Azure team has been engaged on the incident bridge and assisting us in mitigation. Some users in South Central US region will notice intermittent performance issues.

The issue has been isolated to a database under duress in South Central US region. We are working closely with our partners in SQL Azure to mitigate the issue and a database upgrade to higher SKU has been initiated. Root cause is not fully understood at this time. Some customers continue to experience performance degradation accessing their accounts.
