HockeyApp’s Exciting Future in Visual Studio App Center
Over the last month, we’ve been excited to welcome thousands of new HockeyApp customers to Visual Studio App Center. As you may have read, last month we shared that HockeyApp will fully transition to App Center on November 16, 2019. Over this coming year, HockeyApp customers will discover all the benefits of App Center: the next generation of HockeyApp’s distribution, crash reporting and analytics services, as well as powerful new services and features exclusive to App Center.
Get Started with your Transition Today
As a HockeyApp customer it’s easy to get started with your transition today. We’ve already migrated your HockeyApp apps to App Center, and are maintaining your existing data and experience in HockeyApp. We’ve built a side-by-side experience that allows you to work in both App Center and HockeyApp with your HockeyApp apps. Getting started is as simple as signing-in to App Center with your HockeyApp credentials.
Today, you can use the side-by-side experience to get familiar with App Center’s new interface and explore the new features and services. Starting early next year you’ll be able to complete your transition to App Center by moving your apps completely from HockeyApp to App Center. As you begin your transition, we’ll be with you every step of the way. We’ve created a Transition Center in the App Center dashboard with useful information and references to help you get started. Whether you have concerns, product feedback, feature requests or questions, our team is standing by in App Center. We’ve built App Center with some great features so far, but this is only the beginning and we look forward to sharing additional information on our feature roadmap based on customer feedback soon.
