VHD Test Drive – Learn more
If you are an Independent Software Vendor or ISV working with Windows you have most likely heard about the VHD Test Drive by now. The program launched officially on Monday. The program consists of 2 parts:
Part 1 is for everyone. Currently everyone can download 4 images from the VHD Download Center. The number is expected to grow quite a bit over time. You can download the images and try them for 30 days.
Part 2 is for our ISVs and other partners wanting to add their software and solutions to the Microsoft provided images. These images are be very similar to the ones available for everyone. But partners will have to download them from connect.microsoft.com. These images plus additional information will be available soon. We are currently in the process of uploading the final images.
To support partners and non-partners in finding out more about the program and about the Microsoft Virtualization story we will be executing a series of summit events. These events start early next year in the US, EMEA and Asia/Pacific. The summit event targets technical and business decision makers.
