ALM Summit in Redmond

Charles Sterling

Last week at the ALM Summit I ran the Visual Studio 11 Application Lifecycle Management Virtual Machine and Hands-On-Labs with a bunch of the MVPs from Imaginet .   In my opinion, this conference represents one of the best showcases of Microsoft ALM tools in the wild and it was really satisfying to see so many development teams have moved beyond awareness of agile methodology to successful adoption and implementations.  In general the questions changed their tone from last year:

“We are considering trying the following…”

to

“In our last sprint we ran into the following impediment…”

There were definitely other tells of this industry shift at the conference such as attendance has almost doubled over last year and the training sessions on implementation topics were all sold out – even after doubling capacity!

Additionally, at this event we had several exciting announcements. Here is a quick summary:

All ALM Session Summit content to be freely available

All conference session content will be made freely available a few weeks after the event! Please check back at: https://aka.ms/almsummit.
