California School Finder

I had to take a trip down memory lane for this one. I grew up in So Cal and if you've read my blog you know I call San Diego home, but a little known secret is that I actually spent about 10 years in Los Angeles. Not LA proper, but LA County - Santa Clarita to be exact. I moved there when I was young and went to Arroyo Seco Jr. High and Saugus High School and actually even went to College of the Canyons (JC) for a spell. Obviously, I ended up back in San Diego graduating from SDSU (twice - BA, MBA) and got a chance to cruise my old digs near Oneonta Elementary School in Imperial Beach. You're welcome for the dissertation of my life, but it has meaning - yes my life, but I'm referring to why I'm telling you all this....

" On Jan. 8, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced the launch of the California School Finder, a Web site that allows citizens to compare California schools side-by-side. The site is powered by Virtual Earth and is a great example of how state and local governments can leverage the platform to better serve communities through innovative technology. To experience the Web site, please visit the California School Finder at https://www.schoolfinder.ca.gov . "
