Released in 1992, by Dynamix, this is a fantastic game (yes – I am going to resist using “incredible” as an adjective to describe this game). The concepts behind the game are simple: you are presented with physical problems, and a toolkit of basic components with which to try and solve the problem. In the problem below you have to place ramps, pulleys and “mice on exercise wheels” in order to have the bowling ball fall through the basket ball hoop:
It sounds simple enough, but it is incre… *cough* it is very addictive. To add to the replay value, you can modify a number of the basic physics variables, like gravity and inertia. You can also try to build your own contraptions from scrap.
Finally, this game runs perfectly under Virtual PC.
