Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure under Virtual PC

Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure (also known as 'Little Big Adventure') is an absolute classic. In this game you play the role of Twinsen, a young male Quetch living in a world named Twinsun. Twinsun is a world that is balanced between two suns. Living on this land are 4 races; Quetches (humanoids), Rabbibunnies (rabbit like creatures), Grobos (elephant like creatures), and Spheroids (sphere shaped creatures). The land has been under the ruthless dictatorship of the evil Dr Funfrock who has outlawed, among others, all discussions on the Legend of Sendell, the planet’s goddess. When Twinsen begins to talk openly about his mystical dreams of this legend and the impending destruction of Twinsun, he is thrown into the asylum. You must help Twinsen to escape from the asylum, travel to Fortress Island, save his wife, defeat the evil Dr Funfrock, solve the Legend of Sendell, and save the world.

The game is played via an isometric polygon engine - and was developed by the same people who made 'Alone in the Dark'. One of the interesting things about this game is how simple the controls are. You can move Twinsen with the arrow keys and perform a single action. However you then have four modes to have Twinsen operate in (normal, athletic, aggressive or discreet) - each of which change the way he moves and the actions he performs.

In this game you have to do a lot of puzzle solving - as well as performing physical, arcady feats. All in all it is a great game (with beautiful music to boot). Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure runs very well under Virtual PC:

There is supposed to be a Windows based port of this game (available here: https://lbawin.akoonet.com/) but I have not tried it myself. You can download a playable demo of this game from here.
