Slipstream 5000 under Virtual PC

I have vague memories of Slipstream 5000 being touted as a 'ground breaking game' when it was first released - but I can't really remember why any more :-)

Having said that - this is a great old DOS game. Released towards the end of the DOS gaming era - Slipstream 5000 is a futuristic racing game where you racing 'flying cars' equipped with the usual assortment of blasters and other weapons. You choose your racer and compete on various tracks around the world. Each track is done in fairly high quality textured 3D graphics (high quality for a DOS game that is).

The game plays nicely under Virtual PC:

The only odd thing to know about Slipstream 5000 is that there is no 'accelerator' per se - rather your vehicle will always accelerate and it is up to you to brake at the appropriate times to not loose control.
