Street Rods is a fantastic classic game set in the 70s. You start the game with a small amount of money and an empty garage. It is then up to you to buy a car - fit it out and take it out racing. As you go you get to build up money and buy bigger and better cars. You also get to buy new engines, carburetors, manifolds, tires, etc.

If you can tolerate the old school PC Speaker 'music' then Street Rods is a great way to pass a couple of hours:
