Price Reductions for SQL Azure, 100MB Database Option Announced

The Windows Azure team has announced lower pricing for SQL Azure and a new 100 MB database option. The announcement was made Announcing Reduced Pricing on SQL Azure and New 100MB Database Option.

Customers will realize 48% to 75% savings for databases larger than 1GB. The 100MB DB option enables you to start on SQL Azure at half of the previous price. SQL Azure offers a full range of features including: high availability, fault tolerance, self-management, elastic scale-out, on-premises connectivity, and full Service Level Agreement.
